The aim of transport logistics is to optimize transports of all kinds in these areas:

- Utilization
- Discharge
- Handover
- Identification
In addition, costs should be kept to a minimum and goods should be made available in the right quantity at the right time. One example of transport logistics is international container transportation with all the associated logistical tasks such as the actual transport, but also customs clearance, for example. Both the supplier network and the distribution network are considered.
