What is multi-storage capability?

Multi-storage capability is a crucial function in warehouse management software, enabling companies to obtain all information about their warehouse locations at a glance. Organizationally and spatially separate warehouse locations can also be mapped and managed. This means that an identical item can be stored and retrieved from a warehouse in Cologne and Berlin.

The following variants are possible, for example:

• Hierarchical multi-storage systems: assortment structuring
• Network-type multi-storage systems: goods can always be ordered from a specific warehouse. However, the delivery of the products can be implemented using various criteria such as: delivery stock, readiness for delivery and route from another warehouse.
• Multi-warehouse system via MRP: In one ordering process, goods can be ordered for several warehouses via a quantity scale.
