What does container logistics mean?
Container logistics is a well thought-out concept that takes care of everything from consulting and planning to loading, unloading and storage of containers.
In detail, container logistics handles the following:
- Disposition
- Procurement
- Transportation
- Cover
- Storage
- Cleaning
- Maintenance
- Repair
- Maintenance
- Inspection
Containers are now an integral part of world trade and have triggered a revolution in the transport sector. In goods traffic shipped worldwide, around 90 % of general cargo is transported from A to B by container. The container is made of a high-strength steel frame, which in turn is covered with steel profiles. To ensure that the containers can be used as universally as possible, a uniform dimension had to be found. ISO containers are large-capacity containers standardized in accordance with ISO 668, which have made the loading, storage, transportation and unloading of goods much more efficient. ISO standardization created a container that is usable, stackable, and freightable anywhere.
