The C-conveyor: Ideal for intralogistics in industry and trade
The C-conveyor, also known as the C-conveyor, is a vertical conveyor. Unlike S conveyors, which are typically elevator systems, C conveyors of this type are used to bridge heights within a material system. Often, this refers to automated systems.
By moving unit loads vertically (up or down), little space is required for the use of a C-conveyor. As a result, more space remains for additional storage capacity.
The advantages of a C-conveyor at a glance:
- Easy, vertical handling of the stored goods
- Large space saving compared to ascending belts (inclined conveying)
- High conveying capacity
- Low noise
- Possible for food handling
Areas of application of a C-conveyor
The C-conveyor is designed as a vertical conveyor so that all levels of the conveyor system are accessible. The permanently running movement ensures a safe material flow. As a rule, C conveyors are therefore used in intralogistics, for example upstream of a high rack.
