Director of Corporate Services

How long have you been in this position, and what led you to this role?
I joined the management team of cargo support SERVICE GmbH in May 2020, overseeing the Operations division. After the company became part of the proLogistik family, I additionally took on the role of Head of Professional & Service TMS in a dual capacity. Following the merger of cargo support SERVICE GmbH and active logistics GmbH, I assumed responsibility as Director Corporate Service for the pL Group.
What do you particularly enjoy about your role as a Director?
As a Director in the Professional Service sector, I particularly enjoy the challenge of standardizing structures and processes. I find it highly rewarding to create new conditions for success in an international environment by unifying internal systems under optimal conditions. For me, this also includes implementing qualified project management, providing our customers with professional consulting and efficient support, and ultimately generating added value for all stakeholders.
Which topics and projects in your area are particularly exciting?
I find it extremely exciting to bring together and inspire different cultures and people within an international company, with the goal of establishing and strengthening the department as a central pillar of our company’s success. In my opinion, standardized structures, systems, and optimal organization are essential building blocks for achieving this.
What role does your department play in the overall success of the company?
The Professional Service department is a driving force behind the successful implementation of our Transport Management (TMS) and Warehouse Management Software (WMS). With our expertise and close customer relationships, we ensure that our solutions are perfectly tailored to our customers’ needs, transforming their logistics processes and creating sustainable value. Our goal is not just to execute projects but to deliver excellence and build trust along the way.
Through close collaboration and successful implementation, we enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen long-term partnerships. As part of the whole, we contribute to reinforcing and further solidifying the success of the group.
Which leadership principles are particularly important to you?
It is especially important to me to foster a strong team spirit because the people within a company are the foundation of its success. Alone, we achieve little—together, we can accomplish a great deal.
For this, it is essential to place trust in people and delegate responsibility to them. Respect and appreciation form the foundation of successful collaboration and a positive team spirit.
What do you expect from new colleagues joining your department?
I expect enthusiasm for and identification with their role, a willingness to continuously develop, openness to new ideas, as well as creativity and reliability. We are looking for team players—people who are ready to contribute with a ‘hands-on’ mentality to drive success.

What motivates you to come to work every day?
What motivates me to come to work every day is the opportunity to make a positive impact on the people within the company. It is fulfilling to know that I am part of a team that contributes to developing and finding solutions that make task execution easier and more efficient.
Moreover, I love working with people who, as a team, tackle the challenges that come with continuous development and proactively seize opportunities to find creative solutions. Collaborating with colleagues and exchanging ideas also inspire me and foster a successful and dynamic community.

What goals are you currently pursuing for your department, and what is your vision for its future?
My goal is to ensure high-quality and efficient processing of service and support requests through digitalization, AI support, and an efficient service desk (customer portal), thereby creating real added value for our customers. This will also help improve processing and turnaround times while further optimizing our service.
Particularly in project management, through the analysis of existing transport and logistics processes at the customer level and the identification of optimization potential, the aim is to provide optimal consulting based on best practices.
How do you see the development of your industry in the coming years, and how is your department preparing for it?
The development of the software and hardware industry in the coming years will likely be shaped by several key trends. These include ongoing digitalization and the increasing importance of artificial intelligence, not only externally but also within our own organization, to meet operational challenges and customer demands.
The growing expectation of our customers for sustainable support and first-class service before, during, and after implementation requires us to invest in and deploy the mentioned technologies. Another crucial approach is placing a strong emphasis on training and continuous development for our employees, ensuring they stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
