Warehouse logistics

What is warehouse logistics?

Warehouse logistics is an important part of corporate logistics and includes the processes of planning, controlling and monitoring warehouse and transportation processes, such as determining the number and scope, as well as the function and locations of warehouses.

The tasks of warehouse logistics also include receiving materials, checking their usability and forwarding them to the required position if necessary.

The aim of warehouse logistics is to optimize the use of warehouse functions. The background to this is that all stations are interdependent. The goods in a warehouse must be traceable at all times, both on the storage shelves and in the system.
