Disposition

What does disposition mean?

Disposition as a term comes from Latin and means division, arrangement, allocation, administration.

In business, a disposition is a decision that flows into the production processes as an order.

How the order is processed is decided by the computer or the employee, who then serves as the dispatcher.

Nowadays, ERP systems usually have scheduling software that can handle order scheduling. Decisions are made, such as quantities and dates for deliveries.

Types of scheduling in logistics:

  • Production
  • Material flow
  • Promotion
  • Storage and retrieval
  • Order picking
  • Loading, unloading
  • Incoming and outgoing goods
