What does TMS Software do?

TMS software is another term for freight forwarding software. The abbreviation TMS stands for Transport Management System. A TMS primarily handles the billing and invoicing of forwarding services based on rates and special agreements agreed upon and stored with carriers, partner forwarders, and shippers. In addition, a TMS usually offers further modules for order and fleet management, online shipment recording, dispatching, route planning, document management, and more.
