Superimposing: help in acute deficiency situations
Whether it is due to a spontaneous increase in demand, a reduction in the company's own storage capacity or a shortage of customers: There are many situations in which companies are dependent on additional storage space. In this case, we speak of overstocking, i.e. an expansion of storage capacities by third parties - primarily temporary or intended for the short term.
Overstocking helps the distributor or the producer to solve short-term problems. The process, also known as intermediate storage of goods, is then primarily used to delay processes, for example if the clearance of goods is ongoing and blocks capacities or if further processing of raw materials is possible without storage.
