Pick-to-box as a picking method
Whenever items that have been picked are placed in a carried container during picking, this is referred to as pick-to-box. Due to the low level of automation, this type of picking is suitable for many areas, as only low initial investments are required. Typically, a picking cart is used for this purpose.
One disadvantage of pick-to-box is that this picking principle cannot be expanded or scaled to meet increasing demand.
