What is multi-order picking?
Multi-order picking, also commonly referred to as batch picking, is a set principle for forming a picking order. The higher the combination of several individual orders, the higher the time and distance saved by a worker. This principle enables a significant increase in picking performance. The picked items are assigned to the various individual orders after picking is complete.
Advantages of multi-order picking:
- Higher picking performance
- Higher throughput rate
- Efficiency increase
- Savings potential
- Higher throughput of goods per shift
