What is a dangerous good?

Dangerous goods can be substances or objects that can become dangerous for the environment and people during transport. Due to legislation, these goods must be specially marked for the public.

A hazardous material label must have the following characteristics:

  • Warning sign
  • 40 cm x 30 cm
  • Color is mostly orange
  • Panel is rectangular
  • Provided with numbers under certain conditions

Also the goods, which are shipped, must be individually marked with a hazard label. The warning sign and the danger label provide information about the composition of the goods and quickly give instructions for action in the event of an accident.

Examples of dangerous goods articles:

  • Explosives
  • Gases
  • Corrosive, radioactive, toxic substances
  • Chemicals
