Contract logistics

What is contract logistics?

Contract logistics represents a long-term cooperation between the company and a logistics service provider and is defined by a service contract (contract). The contract logistics service provider takes on the logistical tasks and acts as a link.

Several logistical services

Contract logistics includes not only typical logistics activities such as transportation or warehousing, but also service packages with increased complexity and problem-solving approaches. Additional logistical services, such as shipment tracking or non-logistical services, such as assembly activities, are provided in order to offer customers added value.

Degree of individualization of logistics services

The needs of the contract provider are adapted in contract logistics and the customer is offered a high degree of customization by the respective contract logistics provider. Thanks to the diversity and integration of customer wishes, the company is no longer interchangeable.
