What is a batch?
A batch is an end-product quantity of products, which were created under the same circumstances, during batch production. For example, tiles that come from a fire. A batch is identified with a batch number, which is then often entered into databases.
The marking of batches may not be missing in various areas:
- Pharmaceutical Industry
- Food Industry
- Construction
- Automobile
If a problem occurs with a batch, batch tracing can be used to determine which products have also been manufactured in the same production process and where they are currently located. So that these can easily be taken out of circulation; as these could have the same defects.
