Batch tracing

What is batch tracing?

Batch tra cing (international term "upstream tracing") ensures that production batches, particularly in the technical sector, can be traced back to the ingredients or individual manufacturing processes and product characteristics throughout the entire production reconstructible supply chain.

Producer -> Ingredients -> Process- Product Characteristics

In addition, the batch tracing helps with recall actions of possible defects to prevent damage to the customer or consumer and to protect the company from the liability of defective products.

The use of batch tracing must not be missing in the various divisions of the company:

  • Food Industry
  • Construction and automobile
  • Aircraft
  • Pharmaceutical industry

Often batch tracing is used by labeling with barcodes on the goods. During the receipt of goods, this assigned barcode is registered and included in the computer system, so that in the event of any defects, the fastest possible response can be made.
