“How long have you been in this position, and what led you to this role?”
“E-commerce and digitalization have always fascinated me. As early as my diploma thesis in 2000, I extensively explored the question of whether fashion could be sold online—a true pioneer question at the time, which now seems completely self-evident. This passion for digital business models has never left me and continues to shape my professional career to this day. For over four years now, I have been part of the proLogistik Group, where I actively contribute to the exciting challenges and opportunities in the digitalization of logistics processes.”
“What do you particularly enjoy about your work as a Director?”
“The most rewarding aspect of my work is the opportunity to collaborate closely with all departments as well as the C-level. This gives me a comprehensive insight into the company and allows me to learn something new every day. What I find particularly exciting is the close cooperation with the sales team, product developers, finance, and people & culture. The diversity of perspectives and the joint development of strategies make my work especially dynamic and engaging.”
“What role does your department play in the overall success of the company?”
“Marketing plays a central role in the overall success of our company. Without the development and establishment of the new proLogistik Group brand, our market visibility would be significantly lower. However, our role goes far beyond that: we ensure that all business units and countries receive a steady flow of qualified leads. These leads are carefully nurtured by the marketing team and then passed on as sales-qualified leads to the sales team. This process lays the foundation for successful business deals and strengthens the proLogistik Group’s competitive position.”
“What leadership principles are especially important to you?”
“For me, trust, communication, and empowerment are at the core of my leadership principles. I believe that a strong team functions best when each individual takes responsibility and contributes their unique strengths. Open and honest communication creates the foundation for a trusting environment where ideas, feedback, and challenges can be discussed collaboratively. Additionally, it is important to me to encourage my team to make independent decisions and continuously develop their skills. Only in this way can we grow together as a team and achieve success.”

“What goals are you currently pursuing for your department, and what is your vision for its future?”
“My department is a pioneer in the use of AI tools within our company. Technologies like ChatGPT 4.0, AI-assisted photo editing, and video creation with avatars are already part of our daily routine, helping us work more efficiently and creatively. Our current focus is on further integrating these tools into our processes to achieve measurable results. My vision for the future is to continue digitalizing the marketing department and to further strengthen data-driven decision-making.”
“How do you see the development of your industry in the coming years, and how is your department preparing for it?”
“I see the development of our industry in the coming years as highly technology-driven and dynamic. The use of AI, automation, and data-driven marketing strategies will become increasingly important. At proLogistik Group Marketing, our goal is to always stay one step ahead. We actively evaluate any new technology that can make our work more efficient and integrate it where it makes sense. At the same time, we invest in the continuous development of our team to leverage new technologies effectively and remain agile in responding to industry changes.”
