Pick-to-box

Pick-to-box as a picking method

Whenever items that have been picked are placed in a container during order picking, this is referred to as pick-to-box. Due to the low level of automation, this picking method is suitable for many areas, as only a small initial investment is required. Typically, an order picking trolley is used for this purpose.

One disadvantage of pick-to-box is that this picking principle cannot be expanded at will or scaled to meet increasing demand.
